Uniko Sponsors TIME OUT Challenges!

Hey & Happy Thursday!

Yay, finally a 'me' day and a day to catch up on things. It's been a whirlwind of a few weeks here at Uniko and it won't be slowing down anytime soon. There is a new release just around the corner, another release planned for October AND lots of restocks coming too!

Anyway, back to today... I am super happy and proud to announce that Uniko is sponsoring the new challenge HERE over at TIME OUT Challenges. This fortnight is a CASE (copy & share everything) Challenge AND I am your muse!

As usual there is a prize up for grabs if you join in on the challenge over HERE, the winner will get a £15 eGift Certificate to spend in store.

Here is the card I made for you to CASE and be inspired by...

I decided to join in on the fun and CASE myself and came up with this card...

I knew I wanted to use stripes and the Lily from Pure Florals: Lily, but I wasn't in a rainbow mood, so I opted to use Background Blocks Horizontal Stipe and chose Aqua, one of my favourite colours from the rainbow on my CASE card.

I opted for a one layer card this time, stamping the block of stripes directly onto my base card. I used my MISTI tool, so I could repeat stamp it until I had a nice solid colour. The Lily is then stamped over the top using VersaFine, as is the sentiment also from Pure Florals: Lily.

That's all from me just now, but if you need some more inspiration, the TIME OUT Design Team have worked their magic and have LOADS of inspiration over HERE for you. You can also find the link up to the challenge there too.

You have until 5pm BST Wednesday 13th September to join in on the fun. I look forward to seeing you in the gallery!

CAS Colours & Sketches #238 - The Double!

Hey!

Happy Tuesday & last week of August. As this is the 5th Tuesday of August, it is 'The Double' challenge over HERE at CAS Colours & Sketches!

Here is the challenge...

And here is how I have used both the colours & the sketch...

I usually struggle with the double, but this time I knew exactly what I wanted to create and what stamps to use. Amazingly I had all the colours of Stampin' Up! ink too, which made the process a lot quicker too!

I've used the flower from Flower Power #5 along with Natures Treasures and a sentiment from Simply Said. I've also included a HUGE sneak peek at a NEW stamp being released at Uniko on September 9th!

I added quite a bit of dimension to both the die cut circle and the flowers, added some Nuvo drops to the flower centres and added some of my favourite Stampin' Up! enamel dots.

That's all from me today, I a birthday cake to bake and ice, as it is the beans pre 3rd Birthday Party with their little friends tomorrow! Their actual birthday is on Saturday, so I've a busy week ahead.

Thanks for stopping by, but if you need some more inspiration using the challenge be sure to hop on over HERE to see what the rest of the CAS Colours & Sketches Design Team have made.

CAS Colours & Sketches #237 - Sketch

Hey!

It's time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge! This month is sure flying by and I've certainly enjoyed having Patricia and Karen as our hostesses. Karen is our hostess this week and has THIS fun sketch to inspire our creativity...

There a tons of ways this sketch can be used and I had a hard time choosing which way to go. I decided as my stamping time was limited to go with an easy option!

I started by die cutting 3 small rectangles from white card and the stamped each one using 2 of the smaller stamps from Originally Organic Additions on to them in black ink. I then used a selection of Stampin' Up! In Colour markers to colour them in.

I decided to adhere them to a white mat layer using foam adhesive and added a Happy Birthday sentiment from Simply Said, as I am running low on birthday cards. The base card is the new Stampin' Up! Berry Burst a new fave of mine ;)

That's all from me today using the sketch, but if you need some more inspiration using the sketch be sure to pop by the CAS Colours & Sketches blog HERE and see how the DT and Guest Designer have used it.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Un Accueil Chaleureux (A Warm Welcome)...

Hello & Happy Weekend!

Today I am delighted to be introducing you to the newest member of the Design Team. I am sure that this person will not be a stranger to the majority of Uniko followers and to those who join in on the Uniko and "Less is More" Challenges!

So without further ado I would like you all to give Izzy from Izzy Scrap a warm welcome :)

Hi, I’m Izzy. For those who already know me, you know how much I love the Uniko stamps so when I received Bev’s email asking me if I’d like to join the DT, I was just over the moon and I am still now. I’m so proud and so very delighted to be joining the wonderful and creative Uniko Design Team. I live in Le Mans in France with my amazing lovely hubby and our two teenagers (16 and 13) plus our two cats. They are my first fervent supporters (the cats too !). I bought my first crafting supplies (1 rubber stamp, 3 embossing pens and 1 embossing powder, using my halogen lamp to heat emboss !) about 20 years ago to make my own Christmas cards ! But I really started to craft in 2010 when we were abroad. I started with scrapbooking but I rapidly switched to cards. When we came back to France, my husband and children urged me to make my own blog, that’s what I did in May 2016. Since then I enjoy making cards and visiting blogs where I find my inspiration. I’d like to think that my style is rather CAS and I try to find my own style. I’m so happy to belong to this community so rich of wonderful people, full of artists and I’m very thankful to be part of it. It’s a nice way to meet new friends and it’s a great experience !

If you are unfamiliar with Izzy's style, here are a trio of cards Izzy has made to inspire you using a variety of Uniko clear stamps...

Background Blocks - Horizontal Stripe & Fun Flowers

Pure Florals: Gerbera (Back In Stock Tuesday) and Happy Succulents

Pure Florals: Poinsettia & Background Builders: Christmas (Retired, but may make a reappearance this upcoming festive season!)

How fabulous are these? I am sure you'll be as excited as myself to have Izzy part of the team and are looking forward to seeing the inspiration she has to offer. For more details on these creations and to see more of Izzy's work be sure to head on over HERE.

Thank you & welcome Izzy!

CAS Colours & Sketches #236 - Colours

Hey!

It's time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge! This month Patricia and Karen are our hostesses. Karen is our hostess this week and has THIS fun colour combo to inspire our creativity...

I knew I wanted to keep the colours to a minimum and I've certainly done that on my card...

I've been having some fun designing some new Background Blocks clear stamps and it reminded me that I hadn't used Background Blocks Doodle Flower for a while. I was looking through some challenges that I hadn't joined in on for a while and fancied the look of the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch! seen HERE and below...

I started by stamping the doodle flower block in Altenew Limestone ink and die cut a circle using the Stampin' Up! Stitched Shapes Framelits. I then stamped the block again in Industrial Diamond ink and selectively coloured 3 of the flowers in the challenge colours, I used my Prismacolor Pencils. These were then fussy cut out.

The sentiment is from Simply Said and I added quite a bit of dimension to the layers, sentiment and flowers. A few Stampin' Up! Enamel Dots finished the card off.

That's all from me today using the sketch, but if you need some more inspiration using the sketch be sure to pop by the CAS Colours & Sketches blog HERE and see how the DT and Guest Designer have used it.

Thanks for stopping by today.

CAS Colours & Sketches #235 - Sketch

Hey!

It's time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge! This month Patricia and Karen are our hostesses. Patricia is our hostess again this week and has THIS fun & easy sketch to inspire our creativity...

I had quite a few ideas for this sketch, but this is what I settled upon...

It's been a while since I inked up Explosion! and Explosion! Additions clear stamps and looking at the sketch the explosions seemed the perfect fit for the non-rectangular shape required in the sketch. These sets have been pretty popular too this past week after they were featured in the Craft Stamper magazine and blog HERE

For once I've not much to say about my card, as it is really simple and CAS. Just stamping, fussy cutting and layering!

That's all from me today using the sketch, but if you need some more inspiration using the sketch be sure to pop by the CAS Colours & Sketches blog HERE and see how the DT and Guest Designer have used it.

Thanks for stopping by today.

The Saturday Show!

Hey!

I'm here today with The Saturday Show, where I feature some LOVELY and inspiring customer creations using Uniko products. I absolutely LOVE seeing how you use my designs and I am always inspired.

Anyway, let's have a look at what I've spotted around social media since the last 'The Saturday Show'....

Ahhh... Happy Succulents clear stamp set truly is a 'happy' set and just look at this stunner by Jyette. I'm loving the glitter edges to the stamped & beautifully coloured panel and those sequins in one of my favourite colours too! Be sure to hop on over HERE for more about this card on Jyette's blog.

Next up I have a trio of creations by Hannelie from Desert Diva...

First up is this stunner using the FREE Digital Stamps I designed for Simply Cards & Papercrafts magazine in September 2016. Click HERE to go to the 'Freebies' page to download them.

I love how Hannelie has enlarged the heart wreath to fill the front of the card and having it angled slightly as well as the stunning colouring is beautifully inspiring. Head on over HERE to read more about how Hannelie made this card.

On this second card Hannelie has used Pure Florals: Cosmos. This card highlights the flowers and make a wish sentiment so beautifully, with the angle of the repeated sentiment. The result is simple but so eye catching and inspiring.

I have one more card of Hannelie's to share, this time a bright and colourful card using Beautiful Blooms II and Natures Treasures II.

A beautiful stamped and colourful pattern highlighted with the fun polka dot banner and swirly sentiment is SO fun. Be sure to head on over HERE to read more about how Hannelie made this card.

Next I have another floral beauty, this time made by Ishani from Quillish. Ishani was a lucky winner from the To BEE or not to BEE Blog Hop and chose Pure Florals: Lily as her prize...

Such striking design with the black, white and yellow colour combo and those horizontal stripes highlights the beautifully coloured Lily wonderfully. Be sure to head on over HERE to read more about Ishani's card.

Next is another lucky winner of some Uniko clear stamps! This time Lucie from LucieG Cards won the Pure Florals: Gerbera clear stamp set over at "Less is More" and this is how Lucie used her winning goodies...

Just look at that orange Gerbera, beautifully coloured and highlighted with the gold embossing. A stunning CAS design, be still my CAS loving heart! Be sure to head on over HERE to read more about this card.

Lastly, but by no means least how about a I LOVE Coffee card to perk you up...

This beauty is by Becca from The Damsel Of Distressed Cards. Becca is part of the Coffee Lovers Cardmakers Design Team and you can read about this card HERE. I'm loving the gold, black and white colour combo and the gold embellishments to the coffee cup add an air of elegance to the fun design.

Thank you to you ALL for your continued support, custom and sharing of your inspiration using Uniko products. I truly appreciate you and you keep my dream of having this little business alive :)

I LOVE to see and showcase your creations, but I don't always know where you are! Please send me an email with a link to your blog, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest or even if you don't use social media drop me an email with a photo attached!

I hope you've enjoyed todays 'The Saturday Show'?! Until the next time, thanks for stopping by today.

CAS Colours & Sketches #234 - Colours

Hey & Hello August!

My Oh My! I really can't believe we have entered August and Summer is in full swing now. You can tell it is the Summer holidays here in the UK as all we have had since the schools broke up is rain and more rain!

Anyway, enough of that how about a fresh new month of challenges over at CAS Colours & Sketches. This month Patricia and Karen are our hostesses. Kicking the month off is Patricia with this wonderful all be it, challenging colour combo HERE...

It was the Cajun Craze that challenged me the most. I don't think I have ever used this colour and it is one that I tend to avoid if I see it in a combo - haha! Here's what I came up with...

I decided to 'play it safe' with a geometric clear stamp set! Reaching for the recently restocked Background Builders: Squared. Geometrics are still going strong trend wise and there are so many possibilities in using them on projects.

FYI - You can see a few sneak peek examples over HERE of how the Design Team have paired geometrics on their projects they made for a feature in Septembers issue Craft Stamper magazine.

For my card today, I kept it CAS and selected my favourite building strip, stamped it in the 3 colours and added a sentiment from Simply Said Birthday. I also added a trio of circular (as they don't do square ones) Stampin' Up! enamel dots in the matching colours.

The layout of my card was inspired by the current challenge over at CAS(E) this Sketch! HERE. It's been so long since I joined in on a challenge, it was nice to combine the fun!

That's all from me today using the sketch, but if you need some more inspiration using the sketch be sure to pop by the CAS Colours & Sketches blog HERE and see how the DT and Guest Designer have used it.

Thanks for stopping by today.
